Lourdes is triple-qualified to help our patients. Firstly, she is a veterinarian from El Salvador and since coming to Australia in 2009 she has worked and studied as a veterinary nurse, gaining her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and also an Emergency and Critical Care Diploma that provides us with a very skilled level level of nursing care. 

She loves being a dental nurse and bringing quality care to our patients. She keeps us all moving, happy and organised through our busy days.

Out of work Lourdes speaks fluent Spanish and English, likes to travel when possible and spends time with her cat Wayno.

Emily has always had a passion for all animals big or small, and always found ways to bring more furry family members home. From a young age she began volunteering at her local vet clinic and furthered her passion for animals by completing tertiary studies in domestic veterinary nursing and exotic animal care at Taronga Zoo Sydney. After working as a veterinary nurse at a local practice she took an interest in specialist animal hospitals, and began her journey at Sydney Pet Dentistry. Emily loves being a veterinary nurse and receptionist for the team and ensures every client and patient are getting the quality care they deserve. Outside of work she enjoys volunteering for the exotic keepers at Taronga Zoo and helping out at their Wildlife Hospital. She loves anything outdoors and brings her cavoodle Toffee along for any adventure! 

Jasmin started her journey in the veterinary industry as a high school volunteer walking dogs, eventually moving on to gain her Certificate of Veterinary Nursing through TAFE in 2014, and then her Bachelor of Veterinary Technology from Charles Sturt University in 2019. 

She has a love for patient care and wellbeing and tries to make all of our patients as comfortable as possible during their visits with us – whether it’s making good vet memories for young patients, making the comfiest beds for senior friends or easing the anxiety of pets who are having big feelings about their appointment.

On her days off she can be found at home playing video games or doing puzzles with the (not so helpful) help of her cats Bobby and Blitzø, or spending time with friends playing DnD.

With over 10 years of experience in both Australia and the USA, Vicky specialises in diagnostic imaging, emergency, critical care, surgery, and anaesthesia. Her background in the human medical field—particularly in infection control, reprocessing, and sterilisation—gives a unique perspective in veterinary care.

Outside of work, Vicky is a proud cat enthusiast and have recently embraced my inner cat lady by purchasing a pram for my four feline companions.

Vet Nurse by Day, Celebrant by Love, Singer by Night

With over 15 years of experience as a dedicated vet nurse—including five intense, rewarding years in emergency nursing—Maria Temelkos has made a life out of caring. Whether it’s a wagging tail, a purring fluffball, or a couple deeply in love, Maria gives her all to every moment.

By day, you’ll find her working with a team she adores at Sydney Pet Dentistry, where she’s known for her calm hands, warm heart, and probably a cat or two trying to climb her shoulder.

But Maria doesn’t stop there—when she’s not nursing animals back to health, she’s marrying couples as a modern celebrant and MC, and singing up a storm with the award-winning all-girl band, The Frocks. (Yes, she’s basically a walking rom-com with a rock soundtrack.)

She lives with her beautiful wife Susie, four cats (her live-in audience), and her side-kick cocker spaniel, Jax. A lover of food, the ocean, travel and adrenaline-fueled adventures, Maria’s life is full of heart, humour, and just the right amount of chaos—exactly how she likes it.

After a decade in general practice, May decided to take the leap into specialty nursing and has not looked back! She is passionate about learning advanced anaesthesia protocols to provide top-quality care to our patients, from admission to discharge.

When she is not carefully monitoring patients (or giving cuddles!), May is one of the friendly faces at reception. She enjoys chatting with clients about all aspects of dental care and beyond. May also has a special interest and background in behavior and training, and she is committed to providing a fear-free experience for your furry family member.

Outside of work, you can find May hiking, eating, and exploring with her Australian Shepherd, Eden, in tow. When not out with Eden, May loves spending time cuddled up with her cat, Olivia.
